Who needs the Eggs Factor?

Maddie 2008
Today I'm glad I didn't go to my Eggs Factor audition.

The reports are that all auditionees had to stand out in the sun for 3 hours to get into the stadium and then there was more waiting for the auditions which took place in a series of black booths in front of the production team and entire stadium.

From what I've heard, the production team weren't always very nice to the auditionees and were encouraging some deluded talentless wanabees to make fools of themselves. As a professional recording artist for Bunny Tunes, I would never stoop to this level.

On reflection, I'm relieved I stayed at home with Una and my grandbunnies. I think I'll stick with Bunny Tunes instead and when I receive my £1m recording contract, then I'll donate it to Lagomorphia so we can all share a bumper spending spree together.

So, everybunny, let's show the Eggs Factor that we don't need it and we can make our bestist Bunny Tunes album ever by ourselves.

Every Bunny Tunes is the bestest. You'll have to skip our song though, if it makes it, we can't all be as talented as you.

I've written a new song this evening which I quite like - but I need a good female singer to try and sing it. (Otherwise I might try to do it in my own special style...)

I'd only 'skip' your song because I'm not clever enough to perform in your chosen style - but I'm definitely looking forward to hearing it!

Yes! You don't need them, Maddie!

I was wondering if I could ask you buns and Auntie Karen some advice about Dusty?

Of course you can... ask away. I'm all ears (even if Inga isn't!)

Well, I've found a burrow where they say I can have Dusty with me, which is lovely, but he would mostly have to live in my bedroom. Again this is OK, he's always lived mainly in the bedroom, but in our previous burrow and in his Nana Carol's there was much more floorspace for him, and also hidey holes. There aren't any hidey holes in this room (like under the bed etc). I'm worried that he'll be cramped and unhappy. But not many burrows would let me have him at all.....will he be OK in a small space?

I'm sure he'll be only too delighted to be reunited with you. Us smaller buns don't need too much space and when he settles in you may find you can adapt your room around him to enrich his environment further.

He'll be allowed in the living room for fusses and a scamper about whenenver possible and I'm thinking about having some of the furniture removed and adding smaller Ikea stuff so he has more room to move.....I just can't bear the thought of him being stir crazy and unhappy. Because circumstances have changed, I've discovered to my extreme unhappiness that he is now alone most of the time-this is NOT what he was used to and I'm very upset about it, which is why it's crucial for me to have him in a bunny friendly place.I won't have him badly cared for, he is a precious and wonderful little boy. But I don't want him to feel trapped and miserable, I want him to be the happiest and most relaxed bun he can be.

We're sure he'll be fine.

Overturned plastic crates with a hole cut in, cardboard boxes, plastic tubs, a flowerpot and other simple amusements eg a ramp can easily be made and provide hours of fun and along with some snuggles from mum should keep him happily occupied and exercised. Wait until he's with you and then be guided by him.

We really don't think you need to worry too much!

I love cardboard boxes and so did Bertie, admitably in two different sizes. I'm sure Dusty will just be happy to be back with you. We are an adaptable lot and its our families that make us happy not what is around us. Your bedroom will still be huge in comparison to a hutch.

Ikea furniture is so tasty, he will be fine.

I've heard that some of it is quite hard-wearing and a challenge. Still, it should keep him occupied!

I think you were very wise to not go Maddie, it was soooo hot, even I didn't want to go out until the evening. X Factor is no place for your talents, cos they can be really mean.

I'm going to tear up my audition letter and celerybrate by writing a new song for Bunny Tunes instead.
