We are back!!

  • Jul. 7th, 2008 at 12:35 PM

Hello everybunn; we are back!

Our 2foot is still suffering from feeling very low and we do try to help, but you know there is only so much us bunns can do.

We do thank everyone for your lovely emails and to Princess Taz for her card which did put a smile on our 2foots face.

A few Fridays ago our dear TiGgEr was made to go to sleep forever and is now playing with the other bunnies over Rainbow Bridge.  He had a poorly leg and had some moved to his toilet area and so was not able to go properly.  Still, we know he is weeing and pooing and binkying now with his friends.

We do hope everybunn received their copy of our newsletter.  We really do need pictures of our friends to go into our next newsletter and please do remember to keep your stories coming in for our comp-tea-tish-shun.  (rabbit.corner@yahoo.co.uk).

We are sending our love and snuggles to everybunn.

Live Hay'd

  • Jul. 7th, 2008 at 11:14 AM
Hi everybun,

We were proud of both our 2-foots as they went straight to Live Hay'd from church yesterday. They got home about 9.30pm and only played with us for a short while because they were 'tired'!!

From what they told me it sounds like they were having fun all afternoon, singing songs and pretending to hop like a bunny!! (now I would like to see that!!) They enjoyed meeting all the other 2-foots and promised me that they talked about us all day!! The 2-foots have lots of photos of the day, but I am going to let Maddie post her selection first and then I may put some more on later.

Oh - I am in the woof house - AGAIN! When mummy got in last night, she gave Boz lots of loves and noticed he had a little bite mark on his rump!! It was already healing up nicely and not to big, but I still got a stern talking to - oops! Daddy had popped down to check on us the night before and he noticed a few tufts of fur around, but he didn't notice Boz's injury!! Mummy has checked Boz again this morning and he's fine - He's a brave lad because he doesn't complain when I give him a nip. It's just these 2-foots that don't bunderstand the bunny hierachy!!

I need to hopologise for not posting the LIA nommy-nayshuns yet - it's been a busy few weeks and it's not looking any easier this week. Daddy is away until Fursday, so I will be kept busy looking after mummy! Daddy is going to Live-her-pool to talk about boobies for a few days!

When Daddy comes home, another 2-foot will be coming! It's daddy's brother - I have met him before, but Boz hasn't. He's nice because he likes us buns, so we don't mind him coming to stay.

Anyway, I will try to get the LIA stuff sorted out as soon as possible, so please be patient!

Jazz xx

P.S. Mummy came home with a big bag of food for us and some more salt licks! I LOVE my salt lick - mummy keeps saying that she will film me using my salt lick because I have a little routine that I do - I'm not going to tell you about it now, but if they film me, I will ask everybun else what they do with their salt licks!!

Was I glad to see her ....

Well, Mum finally came home at 9.15 after a little detour to find the M50, I was waiting at the door for her tapping my paw as my supper was late. I wish to apologise to all the other buns for her not being a very good 2foot and doing her own song. I know she is useless but now so do you.

She came in with lots of stuff smelling of burrow court and I got really excited running  and throwing stuff around. She had the cheek to say she was tired ? She gave me some of the Excel Herbage she got at Maddies shop (that stuff is just the tastiest), whilst she had a tuna sandwich (didn't like the smell of that) and I ignored her until she went to bed.

This morning has been tent time, its just brilliant.

When do you reckon she will take me camping?

Bruno xx

In the dog house...

Mother went away on Thursday and left me all alone. Kit Alex was on his Duke of Edinburgh and didn't get back until Friday. I was all alone all day AND all night !! How cruel.
The plan was that she pass the door on Sunday morning and pick up kit Alex and leave me all alone AGAIN whilst they went to live Hay'd.
But mothers car started pouring smoke into the car through the vents at Tiverton and she had to stop of the motorway and call the insurance people. It appears that she is 'riding the clutch' and has burnt it.
The man took her to a garage and she has been told that it will cost about £800 to replace the clutch in a Mitsubishi!!! That means I wont get carrots, or hay or anything if she has no money left. How selfish.
The good news is that Mother was planning to use the bus to get to Bristol today - but has now found out that there isnt one from here. Good. That means she will spend some time with me and I wont be left alone again so soon.
Sooo... my mother let me down at Live Hay'd. No representative from me at all. I think she is taking this new job too seriously and should pay more attention to what is important. Me.
Boris.
Lonely.

They are home!

  • Jul. 6th, 2008 at 11:53 PM
We were very pleased to see our mummy and daddy, they didn't get home until 23:10!  I managed a binky and was richly rewarded with tasty apple chip treats, yum yum.

Mummy quick erected Hatty's tent, I helped by playing with the poles, throwing them up in the air.  I'm not sure I like it!  I got straight in but got lost and couldn't get out!  Mummy had to help in the end, but have found out that it's good to push around!

Our slaves look very tired, particularly mummy!  She has muttered something about having a very good time but too tired to us more.

Was she a good representative?  We hope so.

Sue's Health Update - A New Hope? (No, not Star Wars.)

More good news on the Sue front today.

First, her platelets are up to 130, so they're definitely doing the right thing as far as that goes. It will still probably be several days at best before they start talking about releasing her, but at least we're moving in the right direction.

Secondly, her creatanine(sp?) level - the waste product they measure her kidney function by - is surprisingly low. This raises the possibility, which we didn't dare hope for, that maybe once this attack is over her kidneys will go back to functioning enough that she can live without dialysis again. It's just a wild thought at this point, but the numbers we're seeing do seem to raise that possibility.

Thanks for all the good wishes and so on,

Andy

Hoppy Live Hayd Day

  • Jul. 6th, 2008 at 1:48 PM
We are sorry our Mummy and Daddy couldn't get to Live Hayd.

Mummy is off back to Peter's Burrow again for a head exam and more training.

We are with you all in spirit and are spending the afternoon flopped in Bunningham Palace, listening to Bunny Tunes and imagining we are with you.

We want to hear everybuns reports and see lots and lots of photos.

We will be offline now for a few days as Mum being away means no pooter access. we hope that on our return we will be able to post an update on the goings on in Peter's Burrow and the plot against Lagamorphia.
I am a bit concerned as we can't go with Mum and there could be further attempts to poison her. We will report on her return.

In the meantime we are back to supervising Daddy.

We checked that Mum has left us a new 10kg bag of pellets, 9 bags of Organic hay, 2 bags of readigrass and a fridge full of veggies. We hope that will last until her return. Do you think that will be enough?

We don't like to admit it, but we will miss Mum. Though I notice Misty is busy practicing fluttering her eyelashes and giving her best "cute" look in preparation for wrapping Daddy round her paw.

Will look forward to reading all your news soon.

We are very fortunate

We are indeed very luck lagamorphs to have a Pry-Minister like Millie-Millie-Millie-Millie Bun-Bun-Bun-Bun who takes her duties so seriously.

Last night. the 2-foots arrived home at 2-30 am after completing their 10k walk, and went straight to bed.

Millie though, understanding the importance of the 2-foots not oversleeping on Live Hay'd day, made sure that they got up on time by jumping on the bed at regular intervals to check on them during the night.

I'm SO proud of that doe!

OH maybe a better idea!!!

  • Jul. 5th, 2008 at 5:30 PM
Mom complicates things so much! We've come up with maybe a better idea, though we would then really need more then one bun's help. The quick response from you buns have inspired us!

Photographs!! Maybe we can collect photographs from other buns of fire trucks, fire stations, EMS vehicles and stations, etc! They could be either snail mailed (mom would pay the costs!) Or a high res .jpg sent electronically that mom could have printed out herself! Even nice clear photo's of firefighter/EMS patches showing the name of the location. Oh we can think of many things now!

And for anyone that wanted to exchange, mom does have some photo's she's taken of local fire trucks recently, as well one of the local ambulances that he works on. And could take more if needed :) She's even got a few photo's that some fire fighters might be interested in. (fire scenes) If mom got enough she could even make a collage of fire/ems stuff from all over the werld!!

It's so close I can almost taste it!

  • Jul. 5th, 2008 at 8:30 PM
In just over 12 hours, we will be throwing the 2-foots out of the burrow and sending them to Live Hay'd. We are allowing them to pick up Sasha's 2-foot on the way, but otherwise it's straight there without a stop!!!

They do have to perform a small matter of a 10k walk for charity at midnight tonight before they go, BUT THAT'S NOTHING, IT'S LIVE HAY'D THAT MATTERS!!!

to our friends across the big pond!

  • Jul. 5th, 2008 at 2:28 PM
In August the young buck 2foot is having a birthday. Mom would like to find something unique and special for him. She would like to find something related to his loves - being a volunteer fire fighter and being a paid and volunteer EMT/EMS (ambulance). A t-shirt, hat, pin, or something but not from the United States, and obviously from another country/location.

Mom looked online and on Ebay - only to find that many of the UK based sellers are selling fire fighting / EMS items - from the US! hee hee

We don't want her spending all her pellet tokens, cause we want her to buy all the food and toys she can for us!!! But we also realize that pellet tokens here aren't worth very much across the big pond right now.

If someone finds something related to this mom could easily send payment via paypal, including shipping.

We agree that the young buck would think it very cool if he got something from 'over there' and knowing that it was picked out for him by bunny friends too. It would just make it that much more special. You have all seen pics of him giving me yummy treats, so we can agree that spending a few pellet tokens on him is ok!

"Sue's Health Update - the right direction (hopefully)

Sue's platelets were up to 112 yesterday. As you may remember, the magic number is 100. So, if things stay according to the original plan, what they'll start doing over the next few days is ease off on her treatments and see if her blood levels remain stable at a level where she can be released, or if they start dropping rapidly again and they have to try something else.

Strop

  • Jul. 5th, 2008 at 12:00 PM
I'm in a strop. Mummy did not give me greens on my free munth birthday because she said it would be extra important to keep an eye on my perfec poops so I had to wait till the weekend.. thump!

Anyhoo now the weekend is here she's tried giving me grass to start my green eating career wiv and I'm not even slightly interested. She even tried mixing it in wiv my favourite Mr Johnsons.. and I have skillfully chosen each bit of the mix and have not even licked the grass.

What did she expect?!?!

Update: 14.49

I have given in ... turns out grass is nice after all. Humph!

What a day! The sky cried almost all day. The sky rumbled once but not light show. Mom says there will be a light show this weekend, several in fact, but they won't come from the clouds! It was Independence Day yesterday, and you know how 2foots are, they have to make it a 3 day event!
Anyhow mom and her friend decided to have a picnic inside, and she got tired of them having to step over the prison gate that keeps us in our room/hallway. So she decided since it was a special day, she would remove the gate! yea!! Much to her surprise, we didn't leave the hall. At least not while she was awake! tee hee! We lulled mom into thinking we were going to be very chilled buns all day.

Actually the plot was this...stay where she had to pass by with food, etc ...so she'd give us treats. (this worked very well!) Then when she went to sleep before work we'd go...hexploring!

Mom thought we didnt go anywhere because there was too much slippery floor in the kit chin to cross and it'd been awhile since we were used to slipping across it. Gosh we are SO good at fooling mom. (yes being that she's a stewpid 2foot does make it easier)

I did try often to get in her sleep room and scratched at the door lots and lots. Some times if I do it hard enough the door will pop open and I make a run for it, to chew on the lovely stuff mom has stored under her bed! But today for some reason it didn't work. But that was ok, it just kept her believing all was well.

Once mom was quiet we carefully slipped across the floor, getting back into the living room that should be ours! Mom had unbunny-proofed some areas too we noticed. Even the vacuum monster was sitting out in the open and it's yummy cord coiled sloppily on the floor. We had much work to do!

Then mom got up, we heard the loud music noise that wakes her up and I made a beeline for the sofa. UNDER the sofa of course. The one that helf many surprises when mom kicked us out of that room and she moved it. hahahahaha. Mom found most of the bottom back of the sofa and the extra cover on it was GONE along with a huge pile of carpet fiber I had efficiently pulled out. Oh I digress.... mom wakes up and then FURBALL, who is in the room with us, starts meowing loudly....sounding the alarm that we are out there with him. I guess he thinks it's all his now!

Star was laying behind the other furniture, stretched out on the floor looking very relaxed, and of course I was hiding. Mom knew as soon as she came in the room that this was going to be a problem. Thinking she's smarter then a bun she prepared our nightly salad along with a treat cup of our special mix. Tonight it was pellets with some cereal and a piece of fruit or veggie for us. We each have our own cup, while we share a HUGE salad. Mom got the fresh hay in our litterbox and looked out expectantly. No bunnies came running. The she said, aren't you hungry? No bunnies came running. Then she said what she thinks are very magic words to my ears 'Sweetpea, want a treat?' While that is tempting and my mouth was drooling, I stayed fast where I was.

Mom groaned "great' But you know thats not what she really meant! So the chase was on!! woohoo! Mom walked up to Star, who waited till mom was actually reaching to grab her and she RAN. She ran around the couch, under tables. It was great. Mom pleaded with us, reminding us she had to go earn pellet tokens. (mom should have gotten up earlier! it's still not OUR fault if she's running late) So mom turned her attention on me. I don't know how she knew I was under the sofa, but she TURNED IT OVER...but while she was holding it in place I RAN away and scooted under the other furniture. So mom would move that and I'd run again. And stuff is falling down around us, since mom is so clumsy.
So once I felt she got some hexercise, which she needs!!, I decided on my own to go back and get some food. Mom stood there shaking her head, wondering why I didn't just do that in the first place. hee hee

then it was Star's turn. Star is admittedly faster then I am and can take turns better since she is smaller. Star finished off moms work out then she too made her way across the slippery floor back to our bunny room. We worked up an appetite! And mom never caught either of us!

Now Star wants me to explain that I hopparently gave everybun the wrong idea about our trip outside. Star wasn't scared at all. She was just diligent and 'aware' of all the dangers and needed to stay alert - but that it's not the same as being scared. self-appointed guard bunny she says. Then adds that I wouldn't know danger if it landed on me just cause I was ablke to chill and nibble contentedly all afternoon!

I think she's jealous because of all the compliments I got on MY photo!!
Mom tried to give us treats of watermelon, canteatlope, and strawberries - we turned our nose up at all of it, but eventually I did eat the strawberry. Mom also bought some kohlrabi for the first time and I liked that, Star didn't at first but then ate just a little bit. I thought it was rather tasty! Mom got it at the farmers market where she picked raspberries (which I LOVE too!) It was 4 times as big as any in the local stores and was only .45 cents! Mom liked it too and and crunched as loud as I did on it! She also let me try some peach, which was yummy, but Star didn't want to try it. Star seems to be a picky eater some times. Though some times she waits to see if I eat it, then tries to steal it from my mouth. (or else she's waiting till I get sick from something new!)

IN YOUR FUCKING CHERYL COLE LITE FACE JEN!

I like to think I'm not a nasty person, but the pleasure I got from her distress sadly indicates otherwise. Maybe she'll remember that baby she's SUCH A GOOD MOTHER TO now.

If I ever see her in Durham I'll....I'll.....PULL HER HAIR TIL SHE CRIES!

Have Fun
